SOME HISTORY
MUSE will be the result of the development process that Museo Tridentino di Scienze Naturali has been undergoing in the past years: this has involved the museum in science diffusion, with scientific projects and cultural enterprises. The museum is active in the whole Province of Trento and goes beyond purely naturalistic aspects to tackle topics that regard “basic science”, new technologies and current scientific issues.
Since 1999 Museo Tridentino di Scienze Naturali has created many interactive temporary exhibitions, dedicated to naturalistic topics as well as physics and mathematics, and has also offered a wide variety of public events. Through these activities the staff of the museum has acquired new means of communication, based on public dialogue and engagement rather than on the simple presentation of phenomena and objects. Over 500.000 visitors bear witness to this, having seen in just a few years the exhibitions Diluvio Universale (the Deluge), Energia 2001 (Energy 2001), Destinazione Stelle (Destination Stars), Tutti a nanna (All to sleep), Pianeta Rosso (Red Planet), Dolomiti (Dolomites), Conchiglie (Shells), Mobilità (Mobility), Survival Festival, I Giochi di Einstein (Play with Einstein), Leonardo e l’acqua(Leonardo and water), MateTrentino (MathTrentino, La Scimmia Nuda (Naked Ape, Pole Position, Avatar.Diluvio Universale, Energia 2001Destinazione Stelle Tutti a nanna , Pianeta Rosso, Dolomiti, Conchiglie, Mobilità, Survival Festival, I Giochi di Einstein, Leonardo e l’acqu, MateTrentino ), La Scimmia Nuda), Pole Position, Avatar.
